Ukraine’s foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Putin has launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine and even peaceful cities were under attack.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine in a television statement early on Thursday. Putin said Russia's military action was aimed at demilitarization of Ukraine and asked other countries to not intervene in their action as it could lead to dire consequences.

Hours after Putin announced the launch of a major offensive, explosions were heard in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and the eastern port city of Maripol. A Russian missile hit airport Ivano-Frankivsk in Ukraine while Russian troops also launched an attack from annexed Crimea, Ukraine’s border guard service.

Russia’s surprise attack has been condemned by world leaders including US President Joe Biden, who called the attack ‘unprovoked’ and ‘unjustified’.

Internet users have also condemned Putin’s action as most people fear that this military attack could trigger a mega crisis between the two countries and may lead to the next World War.

Hashtags such as 'WWIII' and 'World War 3' have been trending on Twitter since Russia launched the attack and people are weighing the consequences of surviving in a World War amidst a global pandemic.

The Russia-Ukraine tussle goes back to 2014, when rebels backed by Putin seized many parts of East Ukraine. An international Minsk peace accord was signed between the two countries to halt the armed conflict in east Ukraine. However, Putin had asked the US and its allies in 2021 to stop Ukraine from joining NATO, a defensive alliance of 30 countries and offer Moscow security.

Accusing the US for not agreeing to his demands, Putin has now said that Ukraine was never a country but a puppet in the hands of the West. Russia deployed at least 200,000 troops near Ukraine’s borders in the recent months and launched an attack today, 24 February, on Ukraine and its two rebel-held eastern regions, Donetsk and Luhansk, thereby tearing up the Minsk peace accord.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has declared martial law and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appealed to world leaders to impose all possible sanctions as Putin heads to destroy Ukraine.

“I lost my father at a time when I needed the help. I lost him at a time when I needed that voice. A lot of people don’t understand that you can never replace the voice of a father. It wasn’t like he just died, it was like 18 years, living with your dad for a year, and then going back to your mom. I love being with my mom but living with him for a year. Excitement as Asa Announces New Album With Track list

The filmmaker, 55, and actress — who stars in Peacemaker, created by Gunn — are set to tie the knot, he announced on Instagram Sunday.

Gunn simply wrote "😏❤️" in the caption of his announcement, which featured a photo of Holland, 35, sipping from a mug amid a mountainous backdrop, a diamond ring visible on her left hand.

Well wishes poured in from fellow stars, like Peacemaker actor Steve Agee's "❤️❤️ love you both!"

"😮 YOU GUYS! 😍," said Wil Wheaton, while Suicide Squad's Viola Davis chimed in, "Aaaaaaaahhh!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!" and Guardians of the Galaxy franchise star Karen Gillan added, "OMG!!!!!!!😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️

Holland and Gunn have been in a relationship since 2015, when they were first introduced by their mutual friend Michael Rosenbaum. The Chicago-born actress later appeared in the Gunn-produced 2019 superhero horror film Brightburn.

Holland joined the DCEU with last year's The Suicide Squad, which was written and directed by Gunn. She originated the onscreen role of Emilia Harcourt, an A.R.G.U.S. agent assisting the rag-tag group of supers through their mission from the comms room.

Last week, Holland told PEOPLE that working on Peacemaker, in which she reprises her role as Harcourt, brought her and Gunn "closer" as a couple.

"It was great. We had an absolutely amazing time. At the end of it, our personal relationship was closer for the experience," she said. "We got really lucky in that we work really well together and it just works for us."

In Peacemaker, Harcourt is part of the black ops team working on "Project Butterfly," fighting against the parasitic butterfly-like alien species that's begun taking human form.

She butts heads with the eponymous vigilante (John Cena), but the penultimate episode saw the entire team (which includes Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma and Agee, 52) come together to save the day in last week's season 1 finale.

Of her initial role in The Suicide Squad, Holland told PEOPLE, "I had no expectations that it was going to go any further than that.

It was just, 'I'm going to do this fun thing with James and have a great time for a couple of weeks.' That's kind of what we thought it was going to be.

Then the pandemic hit, James got bored while he was doing post-production on The Suicide Squad and he ended up writing this series."

"When he first started writing it, he had absolutely no idea that Emilia was going to be such an integral part of the story," she added.

"The way his writing flows, he just lets the story take him where it needs to go. She became a very integral part of the story. I'm just so grateful for it because it's all an absolute dream for me."

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared suspended Deputy Police Commissioner, Abba Kyari, wanted, for aiding and abetting drug pushing.

The NDLEA disclosed this on Monday during a press briefing at its office in Abuja.

This led to his suspension by the Police Service Commission (PSC) from office as a deputy commissioner of police and head of the IRT.

Mr Kyari’s suspension was based on the recommendation of Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali. The police chief recommended the suspension as a temporary measure while the force’s investigate Mr Kyari’s relationship with popular fraudster, Hushpuppi.

In the new revelation by the NDLEA, the agency said Mr Kyari is a member of a drug cartel that operates the Brazil-Ethiopia-Nigeria illicit drug pipeline, and needs to answer questions that crop up in an ongoing drug case in which he is the principal actor.

The agency also added that he had refused to cooperate with them, hence the reason for their declaration.

Comedienne, Heather McDonald recently fainted in the middle of one of her stand-up shows, and now she’s shared a video of the moment.

The comedian, who also served as a writer on Chelsea Lately, revealed that she fractured her skull as a result of the fall.

As she originally shared on her podcast Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald, she made a joke about being vaccinated against COVID-19 at a show in Tempe, Arizona over the weekend before she collapsed onstage.

“I don’t mean to brag, I don’t care…but I want you to know; double-vaxxed, booster, flu shot, and I’m gonna be honest I have the shingle shot too,” the 51-year-old told the audience.

“And I still get my period! Travelled, went to Mexico twice. Did shows, did meet-and-greets, never got COVID. Clearly, Jesus loves me the most.”

She then stumbled for a moment before abruptly taking a nasty fall.

In a statement provided to People, McDonald's representatives said she was "admitted to a local hospital" and has undergone tests to determine what caused her to lose consciousness.

"Thus far the test have revealed no underlying medical issues that may have precipitated this event," added the rep, who also stressed that her fainting does not appear to be connected to COVID-19.

As some people in the audience told TMZ, many believed her fall to be part of the act because of what she said just before falling.

“I cannot believe this happened,” said McDonald in a video shared on her Instagram Stories.

So far, CT scans have not flagged any issues, but she did suffer from internal bleeding in her head, and has two black eyes from the incident.

According to a statement released by his Family, Bob Saget, died as a result of a head trauma.

"The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep," the statement said.

"The family added that they have been "overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob's fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful."

"As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter," the statement added.

Bob Saget, 65, was on a comedy tour at the time of his death.

His widow, Kelly Rizzo, told "Good Morning America" during an interview last month that her husband appeared to be in good health prior to his death and that his having Covid in December "was not anything serious.

"An autopsy was completed on Saget by the Orange County Medical Examiner in Florida the day after he died.

"At this time, there is no evidence of drug use or foul play," Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany said in a statement.

"The cause and manner of death are pending further studies and investigation which may take up to 10-12 weeks to complete.

"The Orange County Sheriff's Office released a death investigation report, which stated they found no signs of foul play in the "orderly" hotel room.

Saget had been expected to check out of the Ritz-Carlton on Sunday morning and his family members contacted hotel security when they were unable to reach the star, according to the report.

"Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities' investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us," the family's statement added.

Some petroleum marketers have said that the fuel scarcity currently being experienced in Lagos and some parts of the country will persist until depots are restocked with quality products.

The marketers explained that the scarcity was caused by the supply of adulterated products to some parts of the country.

As reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the marketers maintained that the directive to withdraw the adulterated product from circulation, even after distribution to filling stations across Lagos and other areas is responsible for the shortfall that sparked panic buying.

“As we speak, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd is working to ensure that this disruption to the supply chain is addressed as soon as possible.

“However, there is the challenge of logistics and how to compensate those who were supplied with the adulterated products.

“The NNPC is working with marketers on this and once the depots are restocked, tankers will start loading and supply will improve across the country.

“Until we are able to achieve this, queues will remain at the petrol stations because of the panic already created,’’ one of the top marketers told NAN.

An independent marketer who also spoke on the condition of anonymity, said his station stop selling fuel due to complaints of bad quality by motorists.

"Some independent marketers are not hoarding products as is being alleged. Some of us were affected by the supply we got and we are trying to resolve the situation so that we can continue our business,’’ he said.
