Naira Marley still in EFCC Custody; Zlatan Ibile released

Nigerian news has it that popular Nigerian rapper, Naira Marley is still in EFCC custody while zlatan Ibile, a co-rapper, has been freed on what the police called an "administrative bail"

On Friday May 10, Nigerian rappers Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile and three others were arrested by the Economic Financial Commission (EFCC) on account of some fraud (yahoo) charge against them.

Zlatan release was said to have been facilitated with the help of Davido hiring a Senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

However, Naira Marley is still in custody, and EFCC spokeperson Tony Orilade, made a report saying:

“There is overwhelming evidence against Naira Marley; so we can’t afford to release him on administrative bail like Zlatan and the three others.

“That Zlatan has been released does not mean they have been discharged and acquitted. Naira Marley is still in our custody and will be charged to court soon and we will make the charges known in an official statement soon.”
