Anthony Joshua Loses to Andy Ruiz in Heavy weight boxing

Nigerian news has it that Popular British Boxer, Anthony Joshua has lost to his underdog counterpart, Andy Ruiz in what was supposed to be the British Boxer's Debut to the American scene.

Anthony Joshua who happens to be a three belt heavyweight world champion has left Nigerians and supporters in shock as Andy Ruiz knocks him down at the Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday.

Ruiz came as a massive 32-1 underdog but won by a TKO when the referee called it off at 1:26 in the middle of the seventh after the fourth knock down.

When Anthony Joshua was asked about how he feels after the defeat, he told Guardian:

"I want to fight. I don’t do his job. I am never one of those fighters to disrespect a referee like he should have done this or he should have done that. He called it off when he thought I couldn’t fight. It’s a shame. But I don’t want anyone to drown in their sorrows. It’s the long game, not the short game.”

When asked on the difference of tonight with his previous fight with Wladimir Klitschko, an Urkanian professional boxer he defeated in the 2017 boxing match held at Wembley stadium, London.

"It’s all the same. It just wasn’t my night. But listen, it is good for the TV. Good for DAZN and the people watching.” he said

He also agreed on an 100% immediate rematch with his opponent, Andy Ruiz

Andy Ruiz on the other hand felt fulfilled with the new world record he is now recognized with, he excitedly told guardian:

"I just feel so good, man. This is what I have been dreaming about. This is what I have been working hard for. I can’t believe I just made my dreams come true. I just want to thank my team and my family. The sky is the limit, baby.”

“It’s because of the Mexican warrior I am, I have that Mexican blood in me. Talking about the Mexican fighting style, I just proved it.” He added.
